Terms of Service
Last updated 30 June 2026. These terms are a binding agreement between you and GenHub. By using the site or subscribing to GenHub Pro, you agree to them.
1. What GenHub is
GenHub provides free online generators — favicon, QR code, and color palette tools — and an optional paid subscription, "GenHub Pro," that unlocks additional features such as ZIP/batch favicon export, dynamic QR codes (editable redirect destinations) with scan analytics, and saved palettes. The free tools require no account; Pro features require a signed-in account.
2. Accounts and sign-in
We use passwordless "magic link" sign-in. You are responsible for keeping access to your email account secure, as anyone with access to your inbox can sign in. You must provide a valid email address and may not impersonate another person or use the service if you are under 13 (or the minimum age of digital consent in your country).
3. GenHub Pro, billing, and renewals
GenHub Pro is offered on a recurring subscription basis at the prices shown on the pricing page (currently $5/month or $39/year, plus any applicable taxes). Payments are processed by Stripe, Inc.; we do not store your card details. By subscribing you authorize us, through Stripe, to charge your payment method at the start of each billing period until you cancel. Prices may change with prior notice; changes apply to subsequent billing periods.
4. Cancellation and refunds
You may cancel at any time from your account via the Stripe customer portal. On cancellation your Pro features remain active until the end of the current paid period; we do not provide prorated refunds for partial periods except where required by law. If you believe you were charged in error, contact us within 14 days and we will review the charge in good faith and issue a refund where appropriate.
5. Dynamic QR codes
Dynamic QR codes encode a short GenHub redirect link that you can repoint to any destination you control. If you cancel Pro, existing printed codes keep redirecting, but editing destinations and viewing analytics become unavailable until you renew. You are solely responsible for the destinations you set and the content they point to.
6. Acceptable use
You agree not to use GenHub to: create or distribute QR codes or links to malware, phishing, fraud, or illegal content; infringe anyone's intellectual property; transmit spam; attempt to disrupt, overload, reverse-engineer, or gain unauthorized access to the service; or violate any applicable law. We may rate-limit, disable codes, suspend, or terminate accounts that violate these terms or pose a risk to others.
7. Your content
You retain ownership of the images, URLs, palettes, and other content you create or upload. Favicon and palette image processing happens in your browser and those files are not sent to our servers. For saved palettes and dynamic QR destinations, you grant us a limited license to store and process that data solely to provide the service.
8. Availability and changes
The service is provided "as is" and "as available." We may modify, suspend, or discontinue any feature at any time. We aim for high availability but do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free operation.
9. Disclaimers and limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, GenHub disclaims all warranties, express or implied, including merchantability and fitness for a particular purpose. GenHub will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages, or for loss of data, profits, or goodwill. Our total aggregate liability for any claim relating to the service is limited to the greater of the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim or USD $50.
10. Privacy
Our handling of personal data is described in our Privacy Policy, which forms part of these terms.
11. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms from time to time. Material changes will be reflected by updating the "last updated" date above and, where appropriate, by notice. Continued use after changes take effect constitutes acceptance.
